1 foot saguaro
12 inch (1 ft) bare root saguaro cactus ready to plant. Delivered safely to you with attached ropes to make planting easier.
How to plant your new saguaro!
Yay! You have received your companion and you need to find the right place for them to live.
LEAVE the handling ropes on until it is securely planted.
You will need a large pot that drains
Soil
Tamper stick or tool
Be able to lift or ask someone to help lift. The cactus is about 30 lbs.
First, find the right pot.
Large enough and heavy enough the plant will not tip and tall enough to accommodate the roots
Saguaros are very heavy and will hurt if they fall on you.
Pot should be minimum 10 inches wide and NEEDS to drain.
Overwatering is a problem for cacti.
Okay you have found the pot and now you need to put the plant in. Just grab it and and place it in. Kidding.
Grab both of the attached ropes and lift the plant upright. Place the plant into the pot and put soil all around it. Use the tamper to press the soil.
And your done! Find a safe place with plenty of sunlight for your new friend to thrive.
Do not water for the first 2 weeks
After water 1 to 2 times a month NO MORE
Keep plants out of reach of children and walk ways
Enjoy your Saguaro
